Tubbenden Primary School

School Meals

The school operates a catering contract with an external provider, Nourish Contract Catering, and children are offered a choice of hot meals, with a hot or cold dessert on a daily basis.

Currently the Government provide Universal Free School Meals to all children in Reception to the end of Year 2.  From Year 3 onwards, meals are charged for.

You can pay for your child's lunches via our online payment system School Gateway.  Please sign up with your registered mobile number and email address.

Please ensure your child's account is in credit if they wish to have lunch.  Text reminders are sent if dinner money accounts are not kept in credit and parents may be asked to provide a packed lunch if a debt remains unpaid.

The school provides free school meals for pupils whose families meet the eligibility criteria.  Please see below for further information.

The current menu is shown below.  You may find it helpful to discuss the menu with your child so they know what meals are available.  We operate a pre-ordering system whereby the children choose what they want for lunch at morning registration.

Did you know the government gives additional funding (Pupil Premium) to schools for those children entitled to free school meals?

Schools use this money to obtain additional staff and resources that help improve the quality of education. To find out whether your child qualifies for free school meals, and hence whether their school would receive additional funding, please visit:
